SUMMER OUTINGS and WINTER PROGRAMME 2011

The club has both a Winter and a Summer programme. The winter programme runs from September til the end of March and has a mix of practical evenings with evenings spent taking studio portrait photos, evening shoots in Richmond and even table top and macro work indoors as well as practical evenings where digital post processing techniques are covered. We visit Northallerton Camera Club when guest speakers are scheduled on their programme as well as having a healthy annual inter club battle in both print and digital image categories. As an affiliated member of the North Yorkshire and South Durham Photographic Association (NYSDPA) we also compete in their annual competitions for both print and digital images, battling it out with 13 other camera clubs in the North East.

The majority of our members have now converted to digital but we still cater for those who still prefer to use film. Due to its decline, however, we have dropped slide film in favour of digital images.

We hold public exhibitions of our members work at the Wensleydale Show every year, held in Leyburn at the end of August.

Once the winter programme is over, we run monthly outings where members can get together and tackle varying subject matters from waterfalls, night shoots, macro etc.
